Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerous

After a long wait made up of delays and failures, it was finally the law has been signed which makes anti-abandonment car seats mandatory for up to 4 years.

The Minister of Transport Paola De Micheli today signed the decree implementing article 72 of the Highway Code which provides for the obligation to install anti-abandonment devices on car seats for children up to 4 years of age.

The obligation is not immediately operational but it will take a few days for it to be published in the Official Gazette and ever since it will become law.

As explained in the note from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure:

"This is the final passage of the law, after the approval of the Parliament with the vote of all the political groups, the favorable opinion acquired by the European Commission and the go-ahead of the Council of State in recent days".

The path has been long but now it seems that our country has put an end to this much discussed and too much postponed question.

In the near future we will find on the market car seats with built-in anti-abandonment device but now, those who already have seats mounted in the car, will be able to purchase independent devices that have the characteristics considered suitable by law to be associated for greater safety of children and avoid sanctions.

The anti-abandonment devices, for those who still do not know, will allow those who drive the car to be notified by means of a special signal, once the car is turned off, in case the child is tied to the seat.

Given the importance of these devices, the ministry is evaluating different forms of tax relief that can favor the purchase of new anti-abandonment seats and devices by families.
