After years of reports, complaints and hearings, the sad story of the Oasis Ciceralensis lager kennel in Cicerale (Salerno) ended with an eviction, seized by the NAS of the Carabinieri in 2008 and accused of mistreatment and irregularities in the disposal of wastewater and carcasses. The Ministry of Health gives the news in a press release, from which we learn that the operation was completed last Friday thanks to a delegation of the Task Force of the Undersecretary of Health, Francesca Martini, supported by the Nas Command of Salerno.

Great weight in the fight against this lager kennel, whose rate di mortality had reached the 98,05% of the trapped dogs, they also had several associations, including the LOW, while the same Ministry is a civil party in process for animal abuse at the expense of the facility manager.
“What happened yesterday in Cicerale represents a historical event for civilization, the result of a synergy between the healthy forces of the country ”, commented the Undersecretary Martini. “It is an example to follow for all the other critical situations that still persist in the area. My special thanks go to the Carabinieri of the Nas, and in this delicate circumstance to the Command of the Nas of Salerno, which successfully supported the activity of the Task Force in Cicerale. Thanks also go to the voluntary associations that fight for the protection of animals on a daily basis ".
The case of the Cicerale kennel is unfortunately only one of the many episodes of abuses and mistreatment implemented against animals, against which numerous associations supported by volunteers and supporters have been fighting for years. The correct conclusion of the Salerno case bodes well for the birth of one new civil conscienceinserting the respect for all living beings and demonstrates how, by working in synergy with institutions and law enforcement agencies, we can put an end to the spread of violence against the animals.
