Pets are a source of joy and serenity and the beautiful photos of the new calendar made by ASPA prove it
Joy, serenity, safety: pets offer us this and much more. They have the extraordinary power to make us smile and feel good. For many people they are a real antidepressant. To celebrate four-legged friends, the calendar of theASPA Association (Anguillara Sabazia Animal Protection), which since 2006 has been taking care of abandoned and abused strays in the territory of Anguillara Sabazia, in the province of Rome.
The 2022 calendar is enriched by the wonderful shots of the photographer Giosiana Giuliani, which show the strong bond that is established between dogs, cats and their human friends, from the youngest to the elderly (who very often find themselves alone and find comfort in animals).

For the third consecutive year I have created a photographic project that becomes the association's calendar. - explains Giosiana Giuliani - This time too, as I did before, I started from an idea, a theme, which I then transform into images: I have chosen to enhance the well-being that animals instill in us. To tell it, I took children and the elderly as models, portrayed together with animals, because in many respects they are particularly sensitive and are definitely inclined to convey emotions through apparently simple looks and gestures.
Twelve shots to embark on a journey into everyday life that becomes exciting and never boring thanks to this constant exchange of well-being, love and happiness. Each photo is accompanied by the comment of the psychologist Gioia Costantini who explores these issues to offer a greater knowledge of pets.

The new ASPA calendar will be presented tomorrow at 17.30 pm at the Giardini del Torrione in Anguillara Sabazia. The initiative includes a traveling photographic exhibition and lots of music.
