Acupuncture is one of the best hormone alternatives for menopause symptoms.
In just 5 weeks it can alleviate the annoying symptoms of middle age, proving to be a valid natural alternative to hormones
Flushing, sweating, mood swings, sleep disturbances: middle-aged women know well what it means to embark on the delicate process of menopause. And if for some it is not so tragic, for many others those annoying symptoms can become the main cause of bad mood. But what is the best method and without side effects to live 50 years with greater serenity?
A team of researchers from the University of Copenhagen, who carried out tests on a sample of 70 women, in a new study is betting everything onacupuncture, as the only "realistic" treatment option for women who are unable or unwilling to use hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
In general, in fact, traditional medicine offers hormonal or analgesic therapies and if for some time now all natural remedies for cycle and menopause disorders have also been validated, Danish research confirms the benefits deriving from the use of acupuncture for postmenopausal women.
Symptoms of menopause are common and, depending on the severity, can have a major impact on quality of life, health and well-being. Hot flashes are one of the most common symptoms and can go on for several years. Other symptoms include heavy sweating, emotional vulnerability, sleep disturbances, fatigue, "blurry" brain, joint pain, and decreased sex drive. Hormone treatments and other medications can treat various symptoms, but they are not without side effects.
For this particular study, the Danish team subjected a sample of 70 postmenopausal women to five weeks of standardized Western medical acupuncture, using either predefined acupuncture points or without acupuncture for up to after six weeks.
The results showed that 80% of women undergoing acupuncture were satisfied with the treatment and experienced a substantial decrease in symptoms associated with menopause.
“We believe acupuncture surgery is most relevant for women experiencing moderate to severe menopause symptoms. Acupuncture is a realistic option against menopause symptoms for women who are unable or unwilling to take HRT, ”the experts conclude.
Acupuncture, therefore, is not only effective against muscular, joint, circulatory, respiratory, gastrointestinal or even psychological disorders, but is also useful in menopause!
