Who has never fantasized at least once in their life about moving to a castle? If it's a dream of yours, know that a very tempting job offer has just been published. The beautiful island of St Michael’s Mount, located along the southern coast of the Cornwall, is looking for a new figure for his castle, one of the most impressive in England. In the noble residence, which seems to have come out of fairy tales, the St Aubyn family has lived there for generations - exactly since 1650 - who manage visits to the island. Now the family has opened the applications for a figure who will fill the role of Officer Castle, a sort of guardian of the castle but with a few more tasks that will have to assist the steward who already works in the structure.

All the requirements to work at the castle

This would be a full time job. But what are the tasks that will be assigned to this figure? In reality, the list is very long and candidates are required to:

Take care of the security of the castle
Offer assistance to the St Aubyn family
Stay in the assigned accommodation at least 5 nights a week and be available to intervene in case of emergencies
Be responsible for the proper functioning of all fire and safety systems in the castle and perform regular inspections
Check the public rooms at the end of the day, locking and activating the alarm
Work closely with the Castle Steward to contribute to the castle maintenance program
Supervise and assist contractors when required
Carry out cleaning and rearrangement work on the castle furniture
Welcome and guide visitors
Promote good conservation practices within the property
Perform small maintenance tasks when required and follow a preventive maintenance schedule
Monitor stock levels of castle cleaning products and place orders as needed

In short, the tasks to perform are really numerous (perhaps too many!) And you are wondering: but what is the salary for all these activities? Too bad that the salary that is offered was not specified in the job advertisement.
