This is how "Swing with the Plants" was born, the swing that is actually nothing more than a vertical vegetable garden, on whose support ropes let them find support aromatic or climbing plants. The basic idea for its realization is really simple. The swing that wanted to be a vegetable garden was designed in such a way as to exploit the seat of the same to be able to fill with soil and to be able to place seeds.
The swing was specially designed by Marcel Wanders, formerly a member of the designer collective "Dry", in order to be placed both outdoors and in closed spaces, in order to create a real vertical living room vegetable garden, with aromatic plants to keep close at hand, but which can be decorative at the same time, and flower plants able to brighten up the home environment with their scent and their colors. The idea of the swing was specially conceived by its creator for anyone who wants to make their home or garden more welcoming, in order to transform themselves into places to feel in peace and safe.
In case you have a old swing, it is certainly possible imitate the idea to use it to place seedlings in small pots or to make climbing plants grow along its ropes. It would thus be a small project of creative recycling aimed at recovering an object by now unused, perhaps even ruined by time, to which it can give a new life, repainting it and adapting it to pot holders or a support for climbing plants.
