98% Human: the short PETA saying enough to the monkeys used by the entertainment industry

Peta campaigns (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) always hit the mark: not only do they manage to get the message across, but they also manage to find the best way to do it. The latest campaign is created to sensitize the viewer on the treatment to which the monkeys used by the entertainment industry are subjected: cinema, advertising, television, whatever it is.

The campaigns Peta (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) always hit the mark: not only do they manage to get the message across, but they also manage to find the best way to do it. The latest campaign is designed to raise the viewer's awareness of treatment to which the monkeys used by the entertainment industry are subjected: cinema, advertising, television, whatever it is.

The Peta campaign, managed by the agency Bbdo, acts on two fronts: sensitizes the viewer and blocks the idea of using these animals for similar purposes in the bud.

Awareness raising is entrusted to short “98% Human” fully developed without the use of animals. The video shows how a life made of so much suffering, human or otherwise, it doesn't matter, leads to an absolute decision.

The question he wants to provoke in the viewer is: "would you put up with this life?"

The chimpanzee is completely virtual but its expressiveness is so perfect that for a moment we forget that it is not true.

The preventive block, as we could call it, is instead entrusted to the "CorrzionePeta" operation: the association has entered into agreements with some of the major advertising agencies in the world to install the "Automatic word correction"Using the appropriate tool on the writing program (for example word) which recognizes the words" Gorilla "," chimpanzee "," monkey "... and changes them by indicating to “DO NOT CREATE SPOTS WITH MONKEYS”Referring to the link of the site where the creator can learn more about the treatments undergone by these animals.

In just 1 week, more than 11 warnings were issued thanks to this "Peta correction"

A new and original way to tackle the problem of exploitation at its root: If you prevent writers and screenwriters from creating stories with chimpanzees, you also avoid exploitation.

Chimpanzee cubs of a few days, in fact, are snatched from their mothers and their life in nature to end up for years locked up, abused, forced into unnatural poses and nonsense acts for the sole purpose of amusing.

Once they reach adulthood, however, they turn out to be too dangerous, because they are now strong and big to still be used for the same purpose. It is then that they are sold to zoos, vivisection institutes or circuses, waiting for their life to end like this: locked up and used for years until the end of their days.

The use of animals is, here even more than in other areas, absurd and senseless, which is why we, as spectators, can do a lot. If when we go to see a film we see that animals are used, we write to the production and distribution house.

If we know that circuses or other forms of entertainment that use animals will come, let's avoid them and inform our friends and relatives of what these shows are hiding, inviting them to do the same thing as us.

Changing the state of things is possible, but first of all we must be the first to want it: the strongest way to change the offer is to change the demand.
