Gelato

One of the simplest ways to use leftover chocolate in the summer is to make it at home gelato. Grate the chocolate to obtain an excellent one stracciatella ice cream. The chocolate flakes must be added halfway through the preparation of the ice cream with the ice cream maker. For the vegan stracciatella ice cream use 250 ml of rice or soy vegetable milk, 250 ml of vegetable cream (for cooking or whipping), 50 g of dark chocolate flakes and 60 g of cane sugar.

For the traditional stracciatella ice cream: 350 ml of milk, 150 ml of fresh cream, 60 grams of brown sugar and 450 grams of shaved chocolate. You can also prepare the chocolate ice cream. Melt 50 grams of chocolate in a bain-marie, mix it with the chosen milk and let it cool before pouring all the ingredients into the ice cream maker (the same doses indicated for the stracciatella ice cream apply).

Fruit covered with chocolate

Chocolate can be melted in a double boiler and used to coat fruit. With the help of a stick it is possible to dip the fruit directly into the saucepan with the melted chocolate. Especially suitable are the Kiwi, strawberries and bananas, to be left to cool in the refrigerator. With fruit you can make real ones ice cream with a stick covered with chocolate. Just cover some slices of kiwi or banana with dark chocolate.

Banana slices can also be decorated with coconut flakes. You can use gods wooden sticks for popsicles or skewers. The coated fruit must be left to cool in the freezer for at least 20 minutes and for a maximum of 8 hours, after placing it on a plate or tray covered with aluminum foil.

Coffee cremina

The coffee cream, or coffee cremolato, also known as "Grandfather Cup", can be prepared at home without the ice cream maker. However, you will need whips for whipping and a bowl to use as a container, which can be stored in the freezer. The preparation of coffee cremolato can be enriched with chocolate flakes, to be mixed with the cream before placing it in the freezer or to be used to decorate the coffee cream cups before serving. It will be enough grate or mince in the mixer the remaining chocolate in the pantry.

It will be enough for you melt in a water bath a few squares of chocolate, mix it with milk, even vegetable, and leave to cool. In the meantime, you will have to cut two or three bananas into slices. Then you just have to put all the ingredients in the blender to get one very energizing drink, which you can also make refreshing by chopping a couple of ice cubes.
