A tragic accident that could have ended even worse was the one that took place yesterday afternoon in Australia, where a kangaroo attacked and seriously injured a very small girl.

The tragic accident occurred in Armidale, in New South Wales (Australia), yesterday afternoon. The health authorities were warned of the wounding of a child, attacked by a kangaroo, around 17.30 pm: the animal would have climbed over the fence that sanctioned the limit of the private property in which the child was and would have attacked her.
The paramedics who arrived at the scene found themselves in front of one very serious scenario: the little girl suffered deep wounds in many parts of her body and was in a state of evident panic. After first aid on site, the girl was transported by ambulance to Armidale airport and from there by helicopter to Newcastle John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
As reported by local authorities, the incident that occurred yesterday must be a a reminder for everyone on the unpredictability and danger of wild animal behavior: even if they seem harmless and non-aggressive, they are still animals not accustomed to contact with man, which can therefore attack him even in a dramatic way - as in the case of this little girl.
