The new measure to support needy families on gas consumption and heating starts tomorrow. The Ministry of Economic Development, in fact, introduced the so-called Bonus Gas in collaboration with the Energy Authority and the Municipalities.

Good news for those who still can't afford to switch to solar thermal and at the sanitary water heater. The new measure in support of families in need relating to gas consumption and al heating. The Ministry of Economic Development, in fact, he introduced the so-called "Bonus Gas"In collaboration with theEnergy Authority and Municipality.
Thanks to the Bonus Gas, as stated on the Ministry's website, the low-income families will be able to take advantage of “one annual discount of about 15% (net of taxes) on the natural gas bill depending on the size of the family and the type of consumption, with reductions that can reach up to 160 euros for families of up to four members, while large families, with more than three children, will be able to obtain a reduction up to € 230".
What to do to get it? To request the Gas Bonus, simply submit a specific application to your own City of residence, from tomorrow December 15 2009. However, since the bonus is retroactive in relation to the current year, the bonus can be obtained by submitting the application by 30 April 2010. In this way, families can immediately take advantage of this concession, amortizing the expense of heating of the internal year 2009. This measure is part of a broader framework of concessions for the weakest groups. In fact, a similar initiative linked to the bonus on electricity, thanks to which over 1 million families are already getting 20% discount on electricity bill. Clearly, the two discounts can be combined.
