Seeing the city from an unprecedented perspective, through the eyes of the homeless: this is the purpose that prompted the British organization Coffee Art a distribute 100 disposable cameras among London homeless people, asking them to take pictures in the course of their daily life, with the aim of making them a calendar.

The initiative, which has been repeated every year since 2012 and which is enjoying growing success at each edition, is aimed at creation of a photographic calendar that helps to look at the world in a different way. Once printed, the calendar will be put up for sale to finance the numerous activities of Cafè Art in favor of the homeless in the English capital.

Last June, aspiring photographers homeless got a quick basic training by the Royal Photographic Society, to then begin to portray places and people, following the theme "My London".

Of the 100 cameras distributed, 80 were returned, allowing the development of 2.500 images. Among these, a jury made up of representatives of Fujufilm, Amateur Photographer, London Photo Festival, Christie's e Homeless Link, selected 20, which were exhibited at the beginning of August as part of a public exhibition and submitted to the judgment of visitors.

The votes collected during the event were 2.400 and made it possible to identify the 13 photos needed to illustrate an entire calendar, including the cover. The next step was the launch on Kickstarter of a campaign to finance the printing of 5.000 copies of the work, to be sold starting next October at a price of 9 pounds (just over 12 euros) each.

Here are the images selected for the calendar, so intense as to leave you speechless.
