A Man Who Needs No Introduction

By Chris Rewers on Tuesday, May 3, 2011

"Just a quick little glimpse into what good of a person Vin Scully is," Len Kasper said during Tuesday night's Cubs-Los Angeles Dodgers telecast on WGN.

"He went down and chatted briefly with Mike Quade and he introduced himself and the Cubs manager said, 'I know who you are.I've been listening to you forever,' but that's Vin Scully.

"If anyone in baseball doesn't have to introduce himself, that would be Vin," Kasper said.

Scully, the only lead broadcaster the Dodgers have had since moving to Los Angeles in 1958, is working in the Dodgers' booth for the 62nd season.
