Hero: Man, does this guy rake lefties! Jeff Baker went 4-for-5, including a go-ahead, three-run homer off Milwaukee starter Randy Wolf (0-2) in the fourth inning. Baker is 6-for-11 against southpaws this season.

Baker also contributed a two-out RBI single in the sixth and scored in the ninth on a Marlon Byrd double after reaching on a leadoff single.

Goat: This guy can't hit lefties - at least so far. Tyler Colvin went 0-for-4, dropping his average to .105.

Key Plays: In the fourth with the Cubs trailing 2-0, Aramis Ramirez reached first on a fielding error by Milwaukee second baseman Rickie Weeks, who muffed a popup in shallow right. Geovany Soto followed with a game-tying home run to straightaway center.

Comments: Ace Carlos Zambrano (1-0) worked six solid innings (4 runs, 7 hits, 5 strikeouts, 3 walks) to win his ninth straight decision and finished his 112-pitch effort with a 1-2-3 sixth. ... Sean Marshall in the seventh and Kerry Wood in the eighth set the Brewers down in order. Carlos Marmol allowed the first two Milwaukee hitters to reach base in the ninth but worked out of it to earn his third save of the season.

Next: The Cubs (4-3) will send Matt Garza (0-0, 3.86 ERA) to the mound Saturday (CSN, 6:10 p.m.) against Milwaukee (3-5) southpaw Chris Narveson (0-0, 0.00 ERA). Narveson worked six scoreless innings in Milwaukee's home opener Monday.
