Gorzelanny to Miss Start
Cubs left-hander Tom Gorzelanny will miss his next scheduled start Tuesday after a CT scan of his pitching hand revealed a fracture below the nail on his pinkie finger.
Carlos Silva, who made his second rehab start since going on the disabled list with an irregular heartbeat Wednesday, could possibly take Gorzelanny's place in the rotation.
Silva took the loss for Class A Peoria on Wednesday against Kane County in Geneva after a poor outing in which he allowed five runs on six hits in 4 2/3 innings while striking out four and walking two.
Gorzelanny will not have to go on the disabled list because major league rosters were expanded to a 40-player maximum on Wednesday.
