Santo States The Obvious

We regularly criticize the work of Ron Santo. He is often unprepared and oblivious to what is happening on the field. But you have to find a spot in your heart for someone who doesn't always take himself so seriously.

Ronnie let loose with perhaps his best line of the year during the fifth inning of Friday's game against the White Sox while Judd Sirott was handling play-by-play duties:

Santo: Not with these hands.

Sirott: What's wrong with them? I thought it was the legs that go first.

Santo: The legs have gone.
