Ronnie Misremembers

Jeff Baker hit a solo homer in the first inning Thursday - his third of the season - and it led to some informative radio courtesy of Pat Hughes and Ron Santo.

Hughes: That was Baker's first home run since the Cubs' home opener on April 12. I did not realize that.

Santo: I didn't either.

Hughes: If you remember, Ron, he hit it off Milwaukee's Doug Davis.

Santo: Oh ya. I remember. (Pause.) Didn't he hit one in Pittsburgh a couple weeks ago?

Hughes: Apparently not.
