Jaramillo's Job Safe - For Now

By Chris Rewers on Monday, May 3, 2010

Cubs hitting instructor Rudy Jaramillo should save a copy of Sunday's box score.

The Cubs' batting averages are a sight to behold.

Ryan Theriot: .355

Kosuke Fukudome: .342

Marlon Byrd: .354

Alfonso Soriano: .325

Mike Fontenot: .303

Geovany Soto: .322

Jaramillo was taking heat - some of it from us - for a lackluster start by Cubs bats, but a few tips to Alfonso Soriano combined with recent favorable wind conditions and poor Brewers' and Diamondbacks' pitching staff have restored his reputation.
