Dodgers 8, Cubs 5
Hero: Derrek Lee went 3-for-5 to raise his average to .242. He is 6-for-8 in the series.
Goat: Tom Gorzelanny (2-5) was knocked around, allowing seven runs - five earned - on seven hits while walking three and striking out five.
Key Plays: With two outs in the top of the first, Casey Blake ripped an RBI double to give Los Angeles a 2-0 lead and James Loney followed with a run-scoring single to cap a three-run inning.
Comment: A power outage caused Wrigley Field's lights to go out an instant after Gorzelanny walked the Dodgers' Blake DeWitt in the fourth inning, causing an 18-minute delay.
Next: It'll be Ely-Lilly Day at the Friendly Confines on Thursday (CSN, 1:20 p.m.) as rookie John Ely (3-1, 3.41 ERA) goes for the Dodgers against Cubs left-hander Ted Lilly (1-4, 4.30) in the rubber game of the three-game series. Since earning the win in his season debut on April 24, Lilly is 0-4 with a 5.13 ERA.

Love the blog! That game was agony...although it would have been interesting to have been there with the lights out.
Thanks for the kind words, Sara.
Wednesday's power outage reminded me of the days before lights at Wrigley Field. I love day baseball, but attending a game that was suspended by darkness was definitely agony.
