Big Z Is Pissed

By Beachwood Reporter on Monday, April 26, 2010

"Sources told me today that he is far from thrilled with this move," David Kaplan just said on Chicago Tribune Live. Steve Stone sees trouble ahead.

"Carlos Zambrano will never accept the role of an eighth-inning guy," Stone said. "You're just seeing the start of what will probably get ugly . . . he'll be looking to maybe go somewhere else before too long."

Big Z spoke to reporters - whom he's been blowing off ever since his first relief appearance last week - late this afternoon and said he's "not 'happy' happy" but that he'll do his best.

Z's media appearance was likely orchestrated by the team management. Kaplan reports late today that "Sources say he was initially shocked and has become increasingly upset. The team is trying to keep it from becoming a bigger issue."

Because nobody could have seen a bigger issue coming lighting a match to the team powder keg.
